Life of flesh is the blood. In sacrifice, the blood makes the atonement. Israel commanded not to eat blood, but to pour the blood of a beast to the ground and bury it. Lev. 17: 11, 14 Commanded to sacrifice flesh and blood on altar. Deut. 12: 23, 27
But Christ commanded that we should eat of his flesh AND blood. And if we do, then we dwell in Christ. John 6: 53-56
Don't suffer people to partake of Christ's flesh and blood unworthily. 3 Ne. 18: 28-30 But administer to him.
Spirit is LIKE flesh and blood (but not the same). Ether 3: 6, 8-9
Oppressors will eat own flesh and drink own blood. Isa. 49: 26
Man is made a little lower than the angels, and all things subject to him. And Christ likewise, tasting death for every man. And through Christ, we can become perfect through Christ's sufferings. The sanctified become one with the sanctifier. And as we partake of the flesh and blood, we become like Christ who also partook of the flesh and blood. And by partaking of that, he was able to destroy death. Death = devil. Heb. 2: 14
